NARSAD Young Investigator Grant Awarded to Dr. Kristina Neely
Dr. Kristina Neely was awarded the NARSAD Young Investigator Grant, which provides support for the most promising young scientists conducting neurobiological research. This two-year award allows early career researchers to collect pilot data in order to help secure subsequent grant support. Dr. Neely seeks to understand why a majority of children who are diagnosed with ADHD also suffer from deficits in motor skills. These skills often improve with stimulant medication. She will examine brain activity during a hand-grip task, both on and off stimulant medication, in young adults with ADHD and healthy controls to assess how stimulants affects the motor system of young adults with ADHD.
Congratulations, Dr. Neely!
